Inspired by old movies, nature, and the derelict neighborhoods of Los Angeles, my pieces are an expression of the unstoppable march of time. By working with acid on copper and brass, I am attempting to collaborate with the dynamics of erosion and its elusive and unpredictable effects on the material. The patina technique is unforgiving, and time sensitive, forcing me to stay present, and imaginative.
